The School of Information Sciences was ranked 17th among all US universities by U.S. News and World Report in its latest Library & Information Studies (LIS) Graduate School rankings. SIS was also the highest-ranked LIS program in the Southeastern Conference.
SIS is an American Libraries Association (ALA) accredited graduate school and a member of the iSchool organization. The School has been continuously accredited by ALA since 1971. While one of the youngest programs among the top 25 ranked programs, SIS has established a national and international reputation for its quality teaching and academic research.
“We are excited to be recognized for our continued commitment to offer a top-quality program in information sciences,” said SIS Director Diane Kelly. “The ranking of the UT School of Information Sciences as 17th in North America, combined with our strong research and academic programs, reflects the outstanding value we offer to our students.”
