School of Communication Studies
Associate Professor

After graduating from college and working, I came to realize that business majors could not communicate and I became determined to figure out why. I still don't have the answer to that question, but I do enjoy researching interpersonal relationships (e.g., mentoring, friendship) in organizations, instructional communication, and how our communication is gendered, raced, and classed. I teach mostly required classes in communication theory, research methods, and instructional communication with an organizational communication course thrown in every so often.
