Legg, Students Produce Award-Winning Documentary

What began as a faculty member's collaboration with students turned out to be something bigger than anyone expected. Dr. Bob Legg, assistant professor in the School of Journalism and Electronic Media, extended his passion to his students. As a result, Legg and three of his students developed a series of documentaries on an issue larger than themselves.

Cynthia Bond Hopson received the B.A. in Mass Communications in 1985 from Clark College (now Clark Atlanta University); the M.S. in Journalism from Murray (KY) State University in 1989; and the Ph.D. in Journalism from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale in 2000.
