Baker Center to Hold Civility Events with Former Washington Post Executive
A former executive from the Washington Post will be the special guest at two April 21 events focusing on civility in public policy and the media at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
UT Junior Listed Among America's Top 20 Student Sportscasters
Roger Hoover, a junior at the University of Tennessee, who has worked as a sports announcer for many UT athletic event is one of the Top 20 best student broadcasters in America, according the Sportscasters Talent Agency of America (STAA) All-America Program.
The program recognizes the most outstanding collegiate radio sportscasters in the country and encourages collegiate sportscasters nationwide to strive to achieve their best. Each June, the nation's most outstanding collegiate sportscaster is presented the Jim Nantz Award.
Science Journalist Siegfried to Give UT Knoxville Hill Lecture March 31
Tom Siegfried, award-winning science writer and new editor-in-chief of Science News magazine, will give the University of Tennessee, Knoxville's annual Alfred and Julia Hill Lecture at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 31 in the Shiloh Room of the University Center.
