The School of Advertising and Public Relations does not have scholarships available for incoming freshmen. However, once admitted to the school, students are eligible for scholarships in either advertising or public relations.
Both advertising and public relations students are eligible for scholarships and awards given by the College of Communication and Information. These scholarships are separate from those awarded by the school.
Each spring the school awards up to 15 scholarships based on need, academic achievement, and professional promise. Scholarships include:
Scholarship value ranges from $400 to $1,500. The deadline for application is February 1 each year. In addition to the University Scholarship application, the School requires a supplemental scholarship form [1] (does not apply to non-majors).
Alpha Delta Sigma - Advertising seniors with a 3.25 grade point average and who are members of Student Ad Club are eligible for membership in this national advertising honorary. Membership certificates are presented in the spring.
Outstanding Graduate - Given at the college's Honors Convocation, the outstanding graduate award goes to the graduating senior who demonstrates the most professional promise. It includes a plaque and a check for $100.
Public Relations students are eligible for the following scholarships:
