INFORMATION SCIENCES
--Wang presents invited lecture at East China Normal University
Peiling Wang was invited to present "Use of Internet-based Information Resources for Research" at the East China Normal University on March 12. She was invited by the university's Department of Informatics, located in its School of Business. Wang's talk was based on her research on how academic researchers use the Internet resources for research information needs.

-- Graduating seniors can RSVP online for spring/summer 2008 commencement
Registration is now open for eligible students who wish to participate in the College of Communication and Information Spring/Summer 2008 Commencement Ceremony. Students must RSVP online by Friday, April 25. The event will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, May 9, in the Knoxville Convention Center.

--Alfred and Julia Hill Lecture, 8 p.m., Tuesday, March 25, Shiloh Room, University Center. Alan Boyle, award-winning science writer for MSNBC.com, will present "Britney Spears vs. Chimps with Spears: Talking about Science in a Tabloid Culture." The program is free and is open to the public. For more information, contact Dr. Mark Littmann at (865) 974-8156.
--International Brown Bag Series: Leading a Study Abroad Program, 12-1:30 p.m., Friday, March 28, location TBA. Ken Levine will share insights he has gained leading several groups to Paris and Brussels and offer suggestions for those interested in leading future groups.
