Group forum submission

I checked the CCI Tech Committee box down under Audience. This forum post should only show up for members of the college's Technical Committee.

Threads, Forums/Fora, Topics

At www.cci.utk.edu/forum you can see the forums (sic) on the site. Each thread (or "Forum Topic" with its replies) belongs in a forum.

> I don't see how threads are going to work, and who can start them.

Authenticated CCI users can create threads. When logged in you can navigate to Groups / My Groups to see the groups you belong to. If you Create Content, one of the options is Forum Topic and there is an option at the bottom where you can select the Audience if you want to restrict access to one or more of your groups.

Currently only Drupal web administrators can create a new Forum. But authenticated CCI users can start a thread.

I understand. I get very confused in BB, myself.

new CCI IT forum

I signed into the forum with my netid and pw. I had to go through my bio sketch to get to this forum. I don't see a good relationship between fora and threads. I don't see how threads are going to work, and who can start them.

I'm really not sure who can start a forum and who can start a thread.

I'm used to BB controls and management of a forum - I'm not sure how this one works.
