news :: UT to host discussion on the future of national parks
The National Park Second Century Commission has been studying the cultural roles of national parks in America over the past 15 years. The Howard H. Baker Jr. Center and the National Parks Conservation Association will host 100 leaders from across the U.S. on Thursday to study and discuss the findings, as well as examine the future of national parks.

Knoxville's WIVK radio station has won many awards throughout its 57 years on air, but this year personality Jack Ryan gets to celebrate his very own award. He has the honor of winning the Country Music Awards "Broadcast Personality of the Year." Many country stars will be at the CMAs this year, and Ryan will be presented with his award at the show, which airs Nov. 11 at 8 p.m. on ABC.
