Welcome to the Adam Brown Social Media Command Center at the University of Tennessee!

Adam Brown at ABSMCC Open HouseThe Adam Brown Social Media Command Center (ABSMCC) is located in 476 Communications Building in the Circle Park area of campus. The ABSMCC provides the College of Communication & Information faculty, staff and students free access to the same leading technology that Fortune 100 companies worldwide use to publish, engage and analyze their social media marketing activities.

The College of Communication & Information at the University of Tennessee is the only university facility in the world to house an established command center with full access to Salesforce's Social Studio for students, faculty and staff to utilize for teaching and research opportunities. The ABSMCC is named to honor the generosity of Adam Brown, an alumnus of CCI and current CCI Board of Visitors member, who earned his bachelor’s degree in advertising in 1994. Brown is now executive strategist for Salesforce, a San Francisco-based company that pioneered cloud computing and is the world’s #1 customer relationship management platform.

Open HouseCCI faculty, staff and students use the ABSMCC to collaborate, prepare and present social listening findings. The lab features six large flat panel monitors (including one 60+ inch touchscreen monitor), three Mac minis, two Apple TVs and meeting/collaboration space/seating for 25. It can be reserved in advance via the ABSMCC Reservation Request Form.
